MACMEDIA was formed in 1997 by Chuck and Susan McKenna and has provided Web design, development and consulting for more than 180 Web sites.

After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Technical Graphics from Purdue University, Chuck was employed by Precision Graphics, Champaign, Ill., as a textbook illustrator. He later moved into the Advanced Media Department there and began work on CD-ROM and multimedia projects. In 1996 he started designing and producing Web sites for Precision Graphics and later for the University of Illinois Information and Technology Communication Services, before establishing MACMEDIA.

Susan has more than 20 years of experience in the graphic arts industry, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University. She has worked for Capitol Press in Springfield, Ill., served as Vice President of Precision Graphics and as Internet Services Director for the University of Illinois Alumni Association.
